Getting Started with Reebok CrossFit Cardiff

We are different to other gyms.  We don’t have endless rows of treadmills and cross-trainers.  There are no mirrors in our gym.  What we have instead is a huge selection of functional equipment, from Rogue bars and bumper plates to a custom-designed pull up rig from Beaverfit. Everytime you enter our gym you will be coached.  We are passionate about helping our members achieve their goals and committed to continuingly developing ourselves as coaches.

If you’re interested in getting started at Reebok CrossFit Cardiff then we have several entry points depending on your previous CrossFit experience.

Free Taster Session

If you are unsure where to begin then simply get in touch and come down for a free taster session. We’ll have a coffee and chat about CrossFit and your goals and experience. We’ll introduce you to some basic movements, warm up and then run through a scaled workout for you to experience CrossFit firsthand.  Contact us in order to book your place.

‘ON RAMP’ – 6 SESSION CROSSFIT FOUNDATIONS COURSE

We provide a Foundations Course called the ‘On Ramp’. Simply put, the ‘On Ramp’ is 6 x 1 hour sessions that you have to complete before you can enter the main classes.  These sessions will introduce you to the fundamental movements we use in CrossFit, beginning with the basics then over the six sessions including more technical movements.  The movements build upon each other each session so it is vital you attend them all.  First we introduce technique, then we practice to make sure the technique is flawless and only then do we introduce intensity.  Each ‘On Ramp’ session will include a workout, which will increase in difficulty over the course of the six sessions, in order to ‘Ramp’ your fitness levels up so you are ready for the intensity of the group classes.

The ‘On Ramp’ is also a perfect way to introduce you to the community at CrossFit Cardiff. The other members on the course will share the same experiences as you and you will forge friendships here that last.

The ON RAMP courses runs for 2 weeks starting on the first Monday every month, contact us in order to book your place.

Private One to One Foundations – 3 Private Sessions

We understand that you might not feel ready to enter the group ‘On Ramp’.  For this reason we have created the Private One to One Foundations course. Over 3 sessions of just you and a coach we will cover all the fundamental movements and endeavour to give you the skills and confidence to excell during the group classes.
